The newly founded MARCHTRENK CHAMBER ARTS ENSEMBLE plays DOMESTIC MUSIC like it has probably never been heard before: violin, viola and cello are built from the sheet metal of washing machine drums, canal and water pipes become alphorns, tubas and trombones, the kitchen furnishings turn into a drum kit, door leafs are given a new function as sound contributors, the bell system mutates into an organ, an old wardrobe becomes the double bass, heating pipes the clarinets, and roof gutters sound the fanfares. For this kind of home concert, an entire house turns into a musical instrument that is actually played by a chamber orchestra.
