A temporary co-creative sculpture garden is being built at the gates to historic Salzkammergut, in Roith. Roith – an overlooked district at the outskirts of the Bad Ischl health resort. With the participation of the residents of Roith, new aesthetic perspectives will be developed and stereotypes will be deconstructed. The curator and cultural worker Fariba Mosleh, who specializes in participatory processes, will initiate a discrimination-sensitive project with the stigmatized Ischl district through stimulating activies and diverse workshops.
On the opening weekend, students from The University of Arts and Industrial Design Linz will enter into a dialog with the district and its residents through performative and sculptural interventions at the “Roith*Castle.”
In addition, there will be many conversations, concerts, films, workshops and the like, as well as free haircuts and styling as part of Cut around the World with Carmen Subota.
In cooperation with The University of Arts and Industrial Design Linz (Sculpture – Transmedial Space and Artistic Practice), Wohnen im Dialog Bad Ischl and the HTBLA Hallstatt.
