Amanda Burzić embarks on a search for traces, collecting tourist postcard motifs—idealized images in black and white, vibrant, and playfully staged. But instead of leaving them as they are, she dissects, remixes, and overlays them with stickers and DIY elements.
Postcards, originally meant to create picturesque scenes, are thus deconstructed and lovingly reimagined. In a historical context in which Braunau is often associated with burdened imagery, Burzić’s approach feels like a form of radical softness—personal, pop-cultural, and empowering layers that challenges external attributions.
