A festival doesn’t just begin with its opening – it grows, unfolds, leaves traces. Road to the Festival takes this path literally and brings together students from the festival region to make their voices heard: unadorned, direct, poetic. In intensive workshops with renowned poetry slammers, they become the spokespeople of a generation between virtuality and reality, between dreams and changes. What does the future sound like when young people tell it themselves? Their texts – charged with longing, contradiction and departure – are the focus of a large-scale joint performance at Gugg Kulturhaus and will be printed in a fanZine. A poetic manifesto of an uncertain time.
