The Gugg – a place that has become an integral part of the town. Since its reopening in 2005, it has established itself as a tireless pulse of culture and is now celebrated as the official cultural centre of the town of Braunau. Here, voluntary commitment and constant perseverance merge into an international cultural magnet. For the Festival of Regions, however, the Gugg is much more than just a venue: it is a lively part of the festival and an active contributor to the programme, which ranges from workshops for school classes to plays such as ‘ravensbrück’ in cooperation with SCHÄXPIR International Theatre Festival for Young Audiences. The Gugg is known for setting trends and enriching the cultural landscape far beyond the city limits. An indispensable player and a centrepiece of the festival.
