A particularly special spectacle will take place in Gallneukirchen on the occasion of the Festival of the Regions on Saturday, 1 July from 2 pm to 5 pm. A “procession” along the planned line of the Regiotram. Starting from the memorial in Schweinbacher Straße, this is a witty and satirical art project that picks up on the promised connecting line from Linz over Gallneukirchen to Pregarten. Everyone is invited to take part in the train (there will actually be a train!).
The motto: THE TRAIN HAS NOT YET LEFT THE STATION. IT IS NOT TOO LATE!
Since over twenty years, this idea of a public railway network has been floated again and again. However, besides consolations that the project will be realized in the following decade, not much has happened. Instead, a new on-ramp for the free way was built, and more ground is being sealed with more roads. It is high time for politics to prioritise public transport!
