From 2020 to 2022, Franz Kapfer systematically collected propaganda materials from Vienna’s anti-COVID protests: stickers, flyers, hand-painted signs – documents of a protest movement charged with conspiracy ideologies, adopting far-right narratives, and crossing historical lines. This archive now becomes a dystopian stage. In a public performance, Kapfer acts as an archivist, re-evaluating and re-contextualizing the material. His practice exposes and uncovers what was visible in public spaces, yet was never critically examined.
