Doris Leeb, Lou Paulsen

Stefan Kreilinger

Doris Leeb is capable of saying a lot without using many words. In her second poetry collection “Menscha,” she presents dialect poetry that tells the story of all our lives. With anger and wordplay, she not only shows us the walls we run into, but also searches for doors. She doesn’t just see ditches, she has blueprints for bridges. Her dialect speaks many languages, isn’t afraid of Anglicisms, and still remains firmly grounded in her home. Even the standard language can feel included. What does she write about? Everything from Ofong (beginning) to Zitterfrost. And sisterhood always plays a part.

Lou Paulsen takes us on a colorful journey in “Queer through Austria.” The poetry slammer and author interviewed people from the LGBTQIA+ community, talking to them about their various experiences with bisexuality, living with HIV, coming-out experiences, growing up queer with a migration background, and non-binary perspectives. Our motto: We are loud, we are colorful, and we all dance under the rainbow flag – especially when Pride is in the Innviertel, and all year round as well.
