The Festival of Regions 2013 is dedicated to the people of Eferding. All themes, motifs and interventions relate to history and stories, social conditions and structures in the region. Under the motto DIGGING UP, Eferding will be explored and artistically ploughed; the aim is to create unusual perspectives on the familiar and to prepare fertile ground for new artistic plantings, including their strange growths and hybrid mutations.
From 7 to 16 June, the Festival of Regions explores and cultivates Austria’s third oldest town, Eferding. A dense and varied programme with 38 contemporary art and cultural projects and 110 events will be organised under the motto “Digging up”. Around 600 people are involved in the projects.
