Accessibility & Awareness

The Festival of Regions takes place at various indoor and outdoor locations and is not completely barrier-free. Information on accessibility can be found in the projects. A wheelchair symbol indicates barrier-free access:

Barrier-free: Unrestricted access (no steps, wide doors, barrier-free sanitary facilities).

Partially accessible: Limited accessibility, possibly with minor barriers or assistance required.

We are a learning institution and are working to remove barriers and improve accessibility. Mistakes are part of this process and we welcome your feedback. If you need support or have specific access needs, please contact us in advance at  ulla.steyrleuthner@fdr.at

Accessibility means more than just ramps – it also includes communication, social structures and respectful interaction. For us, awareness means conscious interaction based on consideration, openness and sensitivity. If you feel uncomfortable or need support, contact our team – we are here for you! Together we can create a festival for everyone!

Code of Conduct – Festival der Regionen 2025
The Festival of Regions is a place for art, encounters and exchange – open, diverse and respectful. Together, we want to create an atmosphere in which everyone feels welcome and safe – both on site and online.

What we stand for
We are committed to respectful, supportive and inclusive interaction – regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, appearance, language or social status.

What we do not tolerate
Have no place at the FdR*25:

  • Discrimination, harassment or violence – verbal, physical or online
  • Racist, sexist, anti-queer or anti-Semitic statements
  • Classism, ableism, body shaming, age discrimination
  • Non-consensual physical contact, stalking, threats
  • Unwanted photography/filming, trivialization of assaultive behavior

In an emergency
boundaries must be respected. We believe those affected and act consistently – right up to the exclusion or deletion of content.
If you feel uncomfortable or observe something, report it to the team on site or via email: awareness@fdr.at. We investigate every report confidentially.

Shared responsibility
Everyone involved – audience, artists, team – undertakes to comply with this code. Look out for each other. Talk to us if you need help.

Together we will create a safe and inviting festival.
