Tanzdorf
Hannah Shakti Bühler and Simon Mayer create a new space for dance and art in the Innviertel region. Inspired by historical dance manias, they breed a “dancing virus” full of joie de vivre, which is then allowed to spread throughout Braunau: the resulting dance village is mobile, bridge-building and open to everyone.
The dance village is meant to become an imaginary place where contemporary dance and free expression is allowed to take root. Dance should not only find its anchor in the Innviertel as a hobby, but also as a profession and as a path to one’s own well-being. Hannah and Simon dream big and want to create a place with the dance village at the Festival of Regions where movement means home.
You will encounter the project in a variety of ways in everyday life. Keep an eye out for our bridge dances, tank anchors, dance floors, workshops and much more.
