Landschaft kochen

Chicken soup is cooking in the Heimathaus: time for conversation, silence, stirring, reading, singing and lingering. Each day, a different guest takes on the role of chef. Anyone who would like to help with the preparation is very welcome. At 1 p.m., everyone is invited to take a seat at the lunch table. Each ladle of experiences, perspectives and topics shapes the taste experience of this globally known and varying dish, and thus invites reflection on the reciprocal relationship between people and their environment, as a remedy and cultural symbol. At the end of the day, we sit between the long shadows of the day’s work and let the moment linger.

CV

Franziska Schink
lives and works in Linz and Bolzano.
The exploration of the relationship between people and their surroundings is a central component of her work, with which she analyses different influences on the design of social spaces. For her, her mostly site-specific working method is a means of communication and mediation in art as a practice of free thinking that leads to a spatial setting with the help of design processes.

Larry/Larissa Mey/er
creates art in spaces in between. Mey is interested in disruptions and shifts in everyday choreographies, as well as the testing of spaces of possibility. He makes site-specific art (e.g. oeverWERK / Opus 4, Kunsthalle Linz, MeyerSchinkSeyerl Entertainment) and performance (e.g. Fuckhead & Friends, God’s Entertainment). In the structures of art production, she repeatedly takes on different positions: production (Partner in Crime), artistic assistance (Katrin Hornek, Claudia Bosse), tour management (Atash), interior design (Sara Lanner, Susanne Songi Griem, Wiener Festwochen).

Benedikt Simetsberger
Having grown up in the Innviertel region, he moved to Vienna for work and self-development after completing his IT training. After a 7-month trip to Japan, he decided that he didn’t want to spend his life behind a PC and began studying cultural studies in Linz. Back closer to home, he is interested in analogue photography and philosophy and tries to combine his passions, snowboarding and Japan, and to remain open to new things.
