This privacy policy applies to the website fdr.at and its subpages. This privacy policy is based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), Federal Law Gazette I No. 165/1999 as amended, and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021), Federal Law Gazette I No. 190/2021 as amended, applies.

Personal data
We do not process any personal data via this website unless you voluntarily provide it to us – for example, via a form, when registering for the newsletter, or when submitting a project. We use the data you provide exclusively for the purposes specified in each case.

4) Contact (email)

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g., name, email address, content of the message).
Purpose: Processing your request.
Legal basis: contract/preparation of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or legitimate interest in efficient communication (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Storage period: as long as necessary; thereafter deletion in accordance with retention obligations or internal deletion routines.

5) Newsletter

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we process the data you enter (in particular your email address; if applicable, your first name/last name and postal address or telephone number) for the purpose of sending and managing the newsletter or our print products, provided that a postal address has also been provided.
Legal basis: consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Double opt-in: After registration, a confirmation email will be sent for verification.
Unsubscription/revocation: possible at any time by emailing office@fdr.at ; the data for newsletter dispatch will then be deleted. Until then, the data will be stored by us so that we can, for example, invite you to our 100th anniversary celebration.

8) External links and external platforms

fdr.at contains links to external websites and platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Flickr) as well as to partners, media, ticketing, or download offers.
When you click on such links, your data (in particular your IP address and technical access data) leaves the area of responsibility of fdr.at. The data protection information of the respective providers applies.

9) Event reporting (photos, videos, livestreams)

Bei Veranstaltungen können Fotos, Videoaufnahmen und Livestreams entstehen, auf denen Personen erkennbar sein können.
Wir verarbeiten dieses Material, um Veranstaltungen zu dokumentieren und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit zu machen. Dabei achten wir auf Persönlichkeitsrechte, insbesondere unter Beachtung von § 78 Abs. 1 Urheberrechtsgesetz.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in documenting, informing about, and promoting the event (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Storage period: unused material is removed during regular deletion runs; published material may be stored for longer for documentation and archiving purposes (including in the context of editorial/journalistic purposes in accordance with Recital 153 GDPR).
No obligation to provide: There is no legal or contractual obligation to be recorded; there are no disadvantages to requesting not to be recorded.
Avoidance on site: The most reliable way to avoid being recorded is to contact the person taking the photograph or filming directly.
Recipients/access: Access may be granted to commissioned service providers (photographers, videographers); in addition, in the event of publication, media outlets and platforms may be recipients that are not yet specifically identified at the time of recording.

Revocation of consent

If processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), you can revoke it at any time by email. Upon revocation, this processing will be terminated; data will be deleted unless there is another legal basis or retention obligation that prevents this.

Right to information

You can request information about whether and which personal data we process about you, for what purposes, on what basis, for how long, and to which recipients data is transferred—provided that this does not affect the rights of other persons and that an assignment is possible.

Right to rectification

You can request the correction of incorrect data and the completion of incomplete data. In individual cases, proof may be required; certain logs may need to be retained for a limited period of time for verification purposes.

Right to erasure

You may request the erasure of personal data if the purpose no longer applies or there is no longer a valid legal basis, provided that there are no overriding legal reasons (e.g., retention obligations).

Right to restriction of processing
