And what remains of the Festival of Regions 2025?
In June 2025, the “Festival of Regions” was held under the motto “Realistic Dreams” for 10 days in the Innviertel region (Braunau, Ried, Schärding, Simbach, etc.).
With 20,000 visitors and 144 events, it was one of the most successful editions in its 32-year history. A strong sign of the region’s cultural openness!

But will the 2025 festival also leave a lasting mark? What will remain in the region after 10 days of “happy madness”? What is new and different? Has it
succeeded in making people see a city like Braunau am Inn with different eyes? What will happen to the ideas generated at the festival? And who will take responsibility for ensuring that
“realistic dreams” actually turn into concrete reality?
