The Local-Bühne Freistadt took up the motto of the Festival of Regions 2023 with an arthouse film series: Eine kleine Bahnreise durch die Filmgeschichte encompassed almost an entire century and was accompanied by film talks with the writer, film expert and passionate railway traveler Jaroslav Rudiš.
From Buster Keaton´s silent movie classic The General (1926) with live piano accompaniment by David Wagner, to the Freistadt premiere of the 4k version of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), to cult films from the past few years, the festival audience immersed themselves in the world of railway films.
